It’s Official: Facebook Passes 500 Million Users
As of this morning, 500 million people all around the world are actively using Facebook to stay connected with their friends and the people around them. In a blog post, CEO Mark Zuckerberg writes that, “I could have never imagined all of the ways people would use Facebook when we were getting started 6 years ago. I want to thank you for being part of making Facebook what it is today and for spreading it around the world.”
Zuckerberg announced also a new application called Facebook Stories where you can share your own story and read hundreds of others, categorized by themes and locations around world. The team of Facebook is going to help make the world more open and connected. Mark Zuckerberg personally thanks all 500 million users hoping we all are going to keep visiting and Facebook will continue to rule the Web.
